Abstract

The present investigation evaluates the antioxidant activity of methanolof extract of Zingiber officinale (family-Zingiberaceae).The hydrogen donating ability of methanol extract of ginger was measured by reduction of DPPH and potassium ferricyanide. It was observed that the antioxidant activity of methanol extract increases proportionately with concentration.
