Aims and Scope

Gradually you will realise that no Indian journal is far superior to The Scientific Temper, irrespective of their indexing and abstracting tags.-  Prof P N Tripathi, PhD, FIASc, Editor-in-Chief

Our nation is steering forward under the leadership of our present government. Our shared responsibility towards education, learning and communication of knowledge has been assigned by our visionary leaders. Promoting scientific temper is a fundamental duty embedded in our constitution. CONSTITUTION OF INDIA: FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES, ARTICLE 51-A (h) states," It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to develop the scientific temper, humanism and spirit of inquiry and reform".

*What is Scientific Temper? Scientific temper describes an attitude which involves the application of logic and the avoidance of bias and preconceived notions. Discussion, argument and analysis are vital parts of scientific temper. It is thus necessarily open — admitting every point of view, however heterodox it might be, or where it comes from. Elements of fairness, equality and democracy are built into it. ("Scientific temper and the argumentative Indian". The Hindu. Retrieved on 2007-09-25.)

The Hindu. Consultado el 25 de septiembre de 2007.)
