Abstract

In this paper, we prove some common fixed-point theorems in extended bipolar b-metric
spaces in contravariant mappings and their applications under generalized rational type
contractions. Two corollaries are derived as special cases of the main theorems, and an
illustrative application to homotopy theory is given to demonstrate that a fixed point persists
under continuous deformation between two contravariant mappings.
