This study deals with the assessment of the breeding capacity of snow trout, Schizothorax richardsonii (Gray) in the snow-fed River Yamuna from Doon Valley, Uttarakhand, India. During the present study, it was observed that the overall breeding capacity of snow trout S. richardsonii varied from a minimum value of 450 to a maximum value of 15940 in the fish measuring nearly 11cm. to 34.7cm. respectively. The breeding capacity was dependent on the ovary weight than any other body parametersAbstract
