This study was designed to investigate, stimulatory effect of Anthocephalus indicus (Family: Rubiaceae) alcoholic bark extract on protein profile (e.g. total protein, albumin, total globulins and A/G ratio) in albino rat. Male albino rats were administered with bark extract of Anthocephalus indicus at the dose of 50 mg/kg body weight for 7, 15, 30, and 60 days showed significantly increase inAbstract
serum total protein (P<0.001), albumin (P<0.01), total globulins (P<0.001) and A/G ratio (P<0.05). These data suggest that the anabolic activity of alcoholic bark extract of Anthocephalus indicus
