During a survey of parasitic nematodes of freshwater fishes in Muzaffarnagar region, a known species of family Camallinidae belonging to the genus Procamallanus (Spirocamallanus) was isolated from two different fish host species- Mystus cavasius and Ompok bimaculatus.
