Aims and Scope of the Journal

The Scientific Temper is devoted to publish peer-reviewed original and review articles in all the major disciplines of sciences, social sciences, and arts & humanities. However, interdisciplinary articles may also be considered for publication. In such a case, the methodology of work, approach of the concept, and developing and dealing with the hypothesis and the discussion must have a scientific temper in spirit, thought, and expression.

Peer- Review Process

A well established and specialized team is associated and involved in the peer review process.

Acknowledgements and Conflict of Interest

Each author is advised to provide substantial details about the place of his work, financial support received, mentors involved with the work; clearly there exists conflict of interest, if any.

Indexing, abstracting and online support

The journal is sent and shared with standard indexing and abstracting agencies for indexing and abstracting.

Information to Contributors

This is a multidisciplinary journal, and in such cases, the responsibilities and duties of the editorial board and of the editor in chief per se, are enormous. The target areas primarily for publication are biological and chemical sciences, biochemistry and biotechnology, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and science and society interface. Only original research papers are welcome for publication. Papers from other streams are sometimes included after proper screening and editing to enhance the utility and significance of the journal.

Publication Charges

This is an open access journal. The publication fee is decided as per the international categorization of developed, developing, under-developed and poor countries based on their economy.

Submission of manuscript implies: that, the work described has not been published before; that, it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and publications has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities at the Institute where the work has been carried out.

SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

Manuscripts should be submitted online .  All the review process will be handled at the online platform; however, the final acceptance of the article will be at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Plagiarism: The journal is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form. The papers are required to be plagiarism checked as per International requirements.

Papers should be typed double-spaced with 1-inch wide margins on all sides with full title, abstract, abbreviated title for running headlines (up to 35 characters), 4 to 6 keywords, references and figures. Except for reviews, each paper should be presented in the order of Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements and Conflict of Interest, References, Tables and Figure captions..

The title page should include, in addition to the title, the initials and surnames of each author followed by his or her department, institution and address including postal code and country and email address. Please indicate the author for correspondence, whose telephone and E-mail numbers should be included. The present address of authors should appear as a footnote if different. The title page should also indicate the number of manuscript pages, figures and tables.

Keywords: Four to six keywords should be listed in alphabetical order at the bottom of the title page.

Abstract: This should be no more than 150 words in length, should summarize the significant findings and inferences only.

Text Headings: Text headings should be typed as FIRST-LEVEL HEADING, Second-Level Heading, Third-level heading.

References: References should follow the pattern given below;

  • APA format?

    • In APA format (7th edition), include the DOI for all works that have one. It goes at the end of your reference–no period at the end. Write the DOI as a hyperlink starting with https://doi.org/

    • If your article has no DOI whatsoever, which may happen with older articles, simply omit this from the citation:

Figures: All figures should be numbered with consecutive Arabic numbers, have descriptive legends, and be mentioned in the text. Keep figures separate from the text, but indicate an approximate position for each figure in the margin. The quality of line drawings and photographs must be of high enough standard for direct reproduction. Photographs intended for halftone reproductions must be good glossy original prints of maximum contrast. A list of figure legends with relevant figure numbers be typed on a separate sheet and included with the typescript. Colored figures will be charged as per the journal policy.

 Illustrations and graphs: The illustrations and graphs should be made in black ink.

Tables: Tables should be consecutively numbered with Arabic numbers and have a clear descriptive title at the top. Explanatory table footnotes (designated by superscript lower-case letters) typed below the table are acceptable.

Abbreviations and Conventions: The names of the journals must be abbreviated according to the ‘World List of Scientific Periodicals’. References need be strictly in the format and style of the Journal.

COPYRIGHT: Submission of a paper will be taken to imply that it represents original work not previously published; that is not being considered elsewhere for publication; and that if accepted for publication, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in any language, without the consent of the publisher. It is a condition of acceptance by the editor-in-chief of a typescript for publication that the publishers automatically acquire the copyright of the manuscript. The statements, inaccurate data, opinions and views expressed by the authors in articles are of their own and not of the journal. The editors or publishers of the journal will not be responsible for the authenticity of data and results drawn by authors. 

PROOFS: The page proofs to authors will be provided through online.

REPRINTS: The corresponding author will receive an electronic reprint of their paper for non-commercial use.  No Gratis printed reprints are available.
